Scope Of Work

Four areas of site development

Most projects touch all four. We sequence them so you are not paying to redo grading after the drainage goes in.

Pads

Building Pads

Cut, filled and compacted to the elevation your builder needs, with positive drainage away from the slab on every side.

  • House pads — sized, squared and set to grade for the foundation crew
  • Shed and barn pads — level ground for outbuildings, shops and equipment storage
  • Pool pads — excavation and site prep for in-ground and above-ground installs
Grade

Grading

Moving dirt so the ground sheds water, drives clean and mows flat. The difference between a yard and a mud pit is usually a few inches of slope.

  • Rough grading — bulk cut and fill to shape a site before construction
  • Finish grading — the final surface, smoothed and ready for seed or sod
  • Site leveling — taking out humps, ruts and low spots across a working area
Access

Driveways

Access that works in February, not just in July. Crowned, ditched and surfaced so water runs off instead of down the middle.

  • Repair — potholes, washouts, ruts and failed sections rebuilt
  • Improvement — regrading, crowning and fresh gravel on an existing drive
  • Access roads — new farm, field and equipment roads cut in where you need them
Water

Drainage

Water is what destroys dirt work. We look at where it comes from and where it should go before we shape anything.

  • Swales — shaped channels that move surface water away from structures
  • Water control — ditching, culverts and outfalls that keep it moving
  • Erosion repair — rebuilding and stabilizing ground that is already washing

Why It Matters

The dirt work is the part nobody sees and everybody feels

A pad that was not compacted settles. A driveway without a crown turns into a creek. A yard graded toward the house finds the crawlspace every spring.

Because we clear the site too, we already know what the ground under it is doing — where the water was running before the brush came off, which side of the property is holding, and what the soil is like once you get past the topsoil.
